{"id":490,"date":"2011-05-18T10:58:55","date_gmt":"2011-05-18T10:58:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/beta.sellcell.com\/blog\/?p=490"},"modified":"2019-04-12T11:08:12","modified_gmt":"2019-04-12T11:08:12","slug":"changes-anticipated-in-the-new-iphone-5","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sellcell.com\/blog\/changes-anticipated-in-the-new-iphone-5\/","title":{"rendered":"Changes Anticipated in the New iPhone 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_491\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-491\" style=\"width: 180px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sellcell.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/apple-logo.gif\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-491\" title=\"apple-logo\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sellcell.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/apple-logo.gif\" alt width=\"180\" height=\"120\"><\/noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-491 lazyload\" title=\"apple-logo\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns%3D%22http%3A%2F%2Fwww.w3.org%2F2000%2Fsvg%22%20viewBox%3D%220%200%20180%20120%22%3E%3C%2Fsvg%3E\" alt width=\"180\" height=\"120\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.sellcell.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/apple-logo.gif\"><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-491\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Image Courtesy of Apple<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Now that we\u2019ve got the release date for the next generation iPhone pinned to September (although, that could change), our attention has turned to what changes we might see.&nbsp; Unfortunately, the only \u2018evidence\u2019 we have is a smartphone case being advertised by Chinese company Kulcase LTD.<\/p>\n<p>The company is selling a case that they have listed as the \u201cnewest design crystal case for apple iPhone 5G\u201d but whether the design is based on leaked information or not is anyone\u2019s guess.<\/p>\n<p>If the case is correct, then there are two apparent cosmetic changes: 1) the screen has lost the black bezel and now runs from edge to edge and 2) the rear camera flash has been moved to a different location on the back of the handset.<\/p>\n<p>Before you get excited, I need to point out that third party manufacturers have a really bad track record when it comes to anticipating iOS hardware changes.&nbsp; However, at the same time, this is China we are talking about and they are good at obtaining leaked information.&nbsp; Then again, Apple is pretty well known for its last minute design changes.&nbsp; Therefore, we are back to square one: just guessing.<\/p>\n<p>The other question on people\u2019s minds is what will this new iPhone be called?&nbsp; Will it be the iPhone 4G?&nbsp; Will it be the iPhone 4GS, an iteration which is already being assessed by game developers in Apple\u2019s efforts to make the iPhone and iPad better gaming devices?&nbsp; Alternatively, will it be named what everyone is already calling it, the iPhone 5?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Now that we\u2019ve got the release date for the next generation iPhone pinned to September (although, that could change), our attention has turned to what changes we might see.
