Pros<\/p>\n

The screen is quite bright and offers 800 by 480 pixels in 3.7 inches of visual real estate.  The physical appearance of the rest of the phone is equally pleasing, with the back plate made of a matte metal that looks sleek; the overall appearance of the phone is black and silver, a popular combination for 21st century handheld electronics.<\/p>\n

The physical size of the phone is also a plus.  The BlackBerry Torch 9850 measures 4.7 x 2.4 x .45, all measurements are in inches.<\/p>\n

Ease of use is an advantage to this phone because users can access some functions through physical buttons rather than touch screen input alone.  There are four physical buttons on the front, along with a track pad, eliminating user concern about whether a button has been activated or not.<\/p>\n

Cons<\/p>\n

While it is bright, some users report that the touch screen feels too slippery, which makes it somewhat hard to control accurately.  Some users even describe the feel of the screen as “greasy,” which is a significant drawback for a device intended for touch input.<\/p>\n

For some users, the lack of a physical keyboard is a large disadvantage with this BlackBerry model.  The touch screen keypad is small enough to cause concern about typing the correct letter, leading to frustration for some users.<\/p>\n
