On new talk show <em>Katie<\/em>, Crow claims that the tumor, with which she was diagnosed late in 2011, may have been caused by the hours she used to spend talking on old cell phones, pointing out that the tumor is situated in an area of her brain frighteningly close to where she used to hold her cellular device.<\/p>\n<p>Crow \u201cstarted to suspect something was wrong when she began spacing out on stage, forgetting lyrics and generally feeling \u2018mushy\u2019,\u201d according to the Huffington Post.&nbsp; The rock star was eventually diagnosed with meningioma late last year.<\/p>\n<p>In 2011, cell phones were classified as \u2018possibly carcinogenic\u2019 by the World Health Organization and there has been a wide range of studies to suggest that prolonged exposure to cell phone radiation can put people at an increased risk of developing some forms of brain tumors including the likes of meningioma, glioma, and acoustic neuroma.<\/p>\n<p>Bernstein Liebhard LLP, a national law firm that is representing people who claim to have been injured by exposure to cell phone radiation, says that Crow\u2019s \u2018theory\u2019 linking her brain tumor to prolonged use of a cell phone is one that is supported by numerous studies.&nbsp; The law firm points out that a number of law suits against the manufacturers of cell phones are continuing to move
